Privacy Policy

Last updated September 3, 2026

FluteChamp is a flute practice tool. This page explains, plainly, what it collects, what it stores, what it never touches, and who else sees any of it. If you only ever use the app without logging in, the short version is: your microphone audio is processed on your device and thrown away immediately, and your practice history stays in your browser and nowhere else.

If you never log in

Microphone audio is analyzed live in your browser to detect pitch and loudness — it is never recorded, uploaded, or sent anywhere, and there is no server in this path at all. Your practice history (attempt durations, saved sargam sequences) is saved to your browser's own local storage so it survives a page reload. It never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data or using the app's own "Reset session" removes it.

If you log in with Google

Logging in is optional, and only needed for cross-device history sync and Premium features. We use Google Sign-In (via Supabase Auth) — we receive your name, email address, and a Google account identifier from Google, and never see or store your Google password.

Once logged in, the following is stored in our database (hosted on Supabase):

WhatContains
Profile Your email address and Premium status (and plan, if subscribed).
Practice attempts Duration, a loudness curve, and (if you were practicing a target note) the pitch deviation measured for that attempt — never audio.
Saved sequences Sargam phrases you've built and saved (Premium).
Payment record Which plan and amount you requested and its approval status — FluteChamp uses a manual UPI QR code, so we never collect or store your card, bank, or UPI credentials ourselves.

This data syncs across your devices while logged in. You can delete individual attempts and sequences directly in the app; to delete your account and everything tied to it, use the in-app "Send feedback" form and ask us to — we'll remove it by hand.

Optional: saving audio

Two separate, off-by-default features can save audio — each needs its own explicit confirmation before it does anything, and neither turns on the other:

Feedback

The "Send feedback" form is optional and open to anyone, logged in or not. If you include your email, it's stored only so we can reply — feedback submissions are never visible to other users, including other logged-in users.

Teacher connections (Premium)

If you connect to a teacher using their code, your teacher can see that you're connected and your practice progress on the teacher dashboard — never your raw audio. Either side can disconnect at any time.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand overall usage — which pages and features get used, in aggregate. This is separate from, and never includes, your microphone audio, pitch data, or practice history. You can block it with a browser ad blocker or privacy extension without affecting how the app works.

Who else is involved

We don't sell your data.
